Bullying is on the increase. In research conducted by CareerBuilder – Canada in 2012, 45% of respondents reported being bullied in the workplace. Nearly half of all workers have been affected by workplace bullying, either as a target or as a witness to abusive behavior against a co-worker. The sources of bullying were identified as follows: 24% coworker, 23% immediate boss, 17% higher manager,and 17% external to company (e.g., customers).
